Abstract

Pancreatic cancer remains one of the most challenging malignancies to diagnose and treat, characterized by its often late presentation and poor prognosis. This study aims to explore the symptoms, challenges in early detection, and evolving treatment methods for pancreatic cancer. The analysis begins with a detailed review of common symptoms, such as jaundice, weight loss, and abdominal pain, which frequently manifest only in advanced stages. The study then delves into the difficulties of early detection, emphasizing the limitations of current diagnostic tools and the absence of effective screening programs. Innovations in imaging techniques, biomarker identification, and genetic testing are highlighted as promising avenues for improving early diagnosis. Furthermore, the research examines recent advancements in treatment, including surgical techniques, chemotherapeutic regimens, targeted therapies, and immunotherapies. Data from clinical trials and patient outcomes are analyzed to provide a comprehensive overview of the efficacy and potential of these emerging treatments. The findings underscore the necessity of multidisciplinary approaches and continued research to enhance early detection and develop more effective therapies, ultimately aiming to improve survival rates and quality of life for pancreatic cancer patients.
