Advanced Governance, Risk, and Compliance Strategies for SAP and ERP Systems in the U.S. and Europe: Leveraging Automation and Analytics

Abstract

As regulatory requirements grow and the work it takes to manage risks intensifies for large
U.S. and European enterprises, so too do many perceptions of Governance, Risk and
Compliance (GRC) as a vital extension of SAP systems and other ERP solutions.
Specifically, this paper provides an overview of advanced GRC tactics developed specifically
for the SAP and ERP environments in these regions with a view to incorporating automation
and analytics into compliance and risk management strategies. This paper looks at how
automated controls, real time monitoring, and predictive analytics can improve the efficiency
and effectiveness of GRC practices; ideally mitigating existing manual processes while
reducing human error. It also addresses the complexities involved in adherence to region
specific regulations such as GDPR in Europe, industry specific standards in US, integration
of heterogeneous systems and transparency around decision making. Businesses will learn
through real-world case studies and discovered successful implementations in the U.S. and
