Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems is poised to revolutionize security and operational efficiency in healthcare organizations. As healthcare systems increasingly transition to digital platforms, ensuring secure access to sensitive medical data becomes a critical challenge. This paper explores the transformative role of AI in advancing IAM practices within healthcare, focusing on future trends such as adaptive authentication, AI-powered identity analytics, and the automation of user provisioning. The study also addresses the challenges of managing large volumes of healthcare data and regulatory compliance, including HIPAA. Through a review of current practices and forward-looking analysis, this paper predicts that AI-driven IAM solutions will not only improve data protection but also streamline healthcare workflows, leading to better patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
